This geospatial dataset provides the locations and attributes of monitoring sites associated with the Oil Sands Monitoring (OSM) Program for 2025–2026, including monitoring types, programs, and other site-specific information. The dataset includes spatial statistics on the number of monitoring sites and distinct monitoring programs within 1, 10, 20, and 50 km of each site, as well as the number of monitoring sites within each HUC10 watershed. Supporting geospatial layers provide geographic context, including watershed boundaries, rivers, waterbodies, communities, transportation networks, Indigenous reserves, and oil sands development areas. The dataset supports the characterization of monitoring site distribution, assessment of spatial relationships among monitoring activities, and planning and coordination across OSM monitoring programs.
