Mapping Groundwater Dependent Ecosystems in Alberta’s Oil Sands Region

This report and its associated datasets that are available from the OSM Catalogue were prepared by the Alberta Biodiversity Monitoring Institute (ABMI) as part of the OSM Program groundwater monitoring deliverables for the 2024–25 fiscal year. The report focuses on mapping terrestrial groundwater-dependent ecosystems (GDEs) within portions of the Steepbank and McKay River watersheds.
