This report presents monthly water quality results from the Old Fort Monitoring station, on the Lower Athabasca River. The results of the report address whether there are significant changes in the water quality indicators, from historical concentrations and whether exceedance of water quality limits set for these indicators has occurred. The data provided fulfills the reporting requirements mandated by the Surface Water Quality Management Framework, which supports the Lower Athabasca Regional Plan (LARP). This publication informs appropriate management responses where necessary and provides accurate and timely reporting of ambient conditions to the Alberta public.
